cairo traffic jams

the traffic jams in cairo have become a serious problem.
if your house is not next to your work you are screwed!

If you do not go home before 1:00 p.m you will be stuck in traffic.
everyone is complaining.
everyone is frustrated.
many friends we have lost on the roads a long the way.
they say it is all part of the government's plan to lose a percentage of the population in these death traps.

I hope it is not true.
I do not believe in evil of that sort.

the question is how do we solve it?
what is there to do?

I believed in car pooling until most of the people i know started smoking cigarets, and I can not breathe around that.
The other reason is the way they lose their temper when the traffic jams stay for a long time as usual. There is also the sudden breaks syndrome that reminds you of your lunch and your stomach starts getting upset too. The other thing is that everyone speeds these days.

You will find comfort in going to places near home.

To avoid the traffic jams is to go home before 1:00 p.m if you plan to visit the other part of Cairo.
the other option is staying home and that is always more comfortable.

If you decide to dive in the traffic prepare to be miserable or to develop patience that even turtles do not have.
you will start re evaluating life, or renouncing life, you will learn about truths like suffering and you will know more about the feelings of the stuck, the helpless and the trapped.

If you decide to make your phone calls while trapped in traffic , it is not a bad idea but be sure the police does not catch you.

tips for making the traffic more fun:

do not listen to the radio it is all stupid talk and advertisements, and very little music.
have a bottle of water and some snack prepared incase you almost faint from hunger.
If you are a girl and your are on your way to a party, bring your make up along sometimes the traffic stops for so long you can apply your make up.
Make sure you have your car charger for your phone with you so that you can reconnect with friends and incase of any needed help you can call.
It could be the time you take to think of the things you want to do so bring a pen and paper too.
If you have a driver, you can sleep in the back seat and you will wake up more beautiful and ready for the rest of the day.
Remember to bring a tiny pillow and a blanket.
My mother and sister do the crossword puzzle in the traffic jam.

They say if you know when the rush hour is , work around it and you will be fine.
i hope they find a solution to Cairo traffic it has become unbearable.
