She said I had reasons to cry
That my sadness was not insanity after all
She said my instincts were right
She said I won't end up like my ancestors
She said I should not shut my mind
She said my baby girl will be strong
God sent her when I had no one
She was there for support
She was the only one who said I'm right
And boy how i needed to hear that
She said all the things that made my heart rest
She said it all and I went home thankful for my sanity
And that she supported me when everyone else doubted me
